budenberg instrument Valves, Vent valves and manifolds
What we offer?
Budenberg wide range of Instrument valves, Two Valve, Three Valve and Five Valve manifolds, Double block and bleed valves and mono flanges designed and manufactured in Manchester, UK.
They are available as standard and fully customized products.
Application
Ball valves provide a method of isolating a pressure gauge / transmitters in a pressurized system. It has a Simple condition indicator and quick action method of rotation.
The problem with ‘quick action’ is also a rapid increase in pressure to a pressure gauge or instrument and the immediate expansion of the bourdon tube or sensing element. This may damage the gauge if it is not fitted with a restrictor screw, or over range a transmitter without adequate protection.
Salient Features
The Model 6B and 10B range of Ball Valves have been designed to the highest standards and incorporate many features that are usually found in higher specification process valves.
Designed around a super finished solid ball that floats between self cavity relieving seats that provide a dynamic response to fluctuating process pressures. This ensures a gas tight, leak proof seal under all operating pressures and temperatures.
Utilizing a two piece body design immediately reduces thread leak paths by 50% whilst its high strength adapter threads combined with a “soft” parent metal seal give closure thread protection thereby ensuring environmental safety.
These Ball Valves incorporates a full range of standard features that include: inherent fire safe design, anti static, anti blow out stems, multi-stage “dynamic” stem packing as well as a wide range of configurations and options.

Application
Needle valves provide a method of fine regulation of pressure when isolating a pressure gauge in a pressurized system. The slow release of pressure into a valve (or any pressure indicator) protects the internal components and ensures longer operational life.
Needle valves, typically, have ‘T’ bar handles so that they can be operated with a gloved hand.
Salient Features
The Model 6N and 10N Needle Valves have designed to give higher strength and integrity to instrument needle valves. Budenberg have incorporated a dynamic multi-ring gland system in the needle valve, which when combined with the anti blow-out back seating stem, generates resistance to all operating processes and pressures. This guarantees 100% gland integrity for the life time of every valve.
Self Centering Tip is one grade harder than parent body material ensuring positive seat closure under all conditions.
High strength bonnet threads combined with ‘soft’ parent metal bottom seals give thread closure protection and enhances environmental safety. No Elastomer seals are used. No welding is involved in the manufacturing process.
The other standard features include: vibration proof handle with positive location and excess torque break feature, inherent fire safe design, Mechanically locked Valve Bonnet to prevent accidental removal as well as a wide range of configurations and options.

Application
The 61N range of Gauge Vent and Multi Port Needle Valves allow the installation of Pressure Gauges, switches and low cost transmitters without multiple penetrations of the process piping.
These economic yet highly versatile valves provide endless solutions for instrumentation measurement, calibration or venting applications.
Salient Features
The standard configuration for the Multiport Valves has a male or female process inlet with three 1/2″ NPT outlet connections.
The Gauge Vent Valves has only one 1/2″NPT outlet and a 1/4″NPT Vent connection in the side of the unit. All units with a male process connection can also be supplied with either a standard or extended weldable connection.
All units incorporates the Budenberg 6N Needle Valve high temperature, high pressure valve head assembly that is suitable for pressures up to 10,000 lb/in² and temperatures up to 450°C in conformance to ASME /ANSI B16.34 Class 2500.
Available in a full range of materials, configurations, connections and options, ensure that there is a model for virtually any application.
These units incorporate fully adjustable, dynamically responsive, multi ring “gland sandwich” in either PTFE or Graphoil to resist all operating and processes. Budenberg offers 100% gland integrity for the lifetime of every valve.
Self centering, non rotating stem tip provides a true metal to metal valve seat whereby the material of the stem tip is one grade harder than the body thus resisting over tightening, preventing wear and guaranteeing a 100% bubble tight seat closure, first time, every time.
The other standard features include: Anti static, anti blow-out stems, True metal to metal Body/Bonnet joints. Bonnets are assembled with a locking pin to to prevent accidental removal, as well as a wide range of configurations and options.

Application
If you have to remove an instrument from a pressurized system, there are real dangers. Not, least, the fact that the process media may be stored at high pressure. It could, also be toxic or volatile.
Sometimes it is safer to isolate the pressure to instrument first and then safely vent away the pressurized process media that is trapped between the valve and the instrument.
There are some simple designs with a bleed screw to achieve this, or, another needle vale is installed inside the valve block to slowly vent the pressure away. The 6XNR range of Valve Manifolds provide a low cost Block and Bleed function to any instrument application.
Salient Features
The 62NR range includes a full range of configurations and connections allowing them to be used on a full range of instrumentation including Transmitters, Gauges, Switches etc.
The 6XNR range of 3 and 5 Valve Manifolds are designed to be remotely connected on to the industry standard pressure, flow or level transmitters that have 54mm mounting centres. be used on a full range of instrumentation including Transmitters, Gauges, Switches etc.
All units incorporates the Budenberg 6N Needle Valve high temperature, high pressure valve head assembly that is suitable for pressures up to 10,000 lb/in² and temperatures up to 450°C in conformance to ASME /ANSI B16.34 Class 2500.
These lightweight compact units can be readily manufactured, modified or configured to suit any individual application or customer requirement.
These manifolds incorporate fully adjustable, dynamically responsive, multi ring “gland sandwich” in either PTFE or Graphoil to resist all operating and processes. Budenberg offers 100% gland integrity for the lifetime of every valve.
